MORE INFO: FRET WORK

-I can not express enough how crucial great fret work is. It is the foundation of a great playing guitar. I believe it is the most important parts of guitar work.
-A fret level, crown & polish includes re-seating and stabilizing of your frets! Even tiny movements in frets can have an effect on your leveling results.
-If you get a re-fret, it will likely require a new nut. This is due to replacing old worn down frets with new taller wire.
-A board plane is included with all re-frets to ensure proper geometry. There are situations where I can avoid the board plane
ex: finished board with appropriate geometry, and same width fret wire.
-A board plane on a finished board will require re-finishing. I also offer relic'ing to maintain the worn look of your favorite neck!
-I polish all re-frets to a mirror shine. Shine and the all important crown (where your string meets the fret), lasts exponentially longer on stainless steel than traditional nickel due to the harder nature of the material. Stainless costs a little more to install but does last significantly longer. Stainless isn't for everyone, but I believe it is the superior material.
